--he says a woman can destroy a man because of immortality; she holds his immortality in her body, in her womb, he tells me. And I say this is kin to insanity. There is no immortality; immortality is a poetic idea, an idyll; it’s pretty and like baby jesus and astrology, it’s comforting. But in reality it does not exist. And to see immortality in a woman's body shall surely lead you madly. But perhaps that is how you are made mad and then destroyed, as you say, by this thought folly. This folly thought - to see your self forever held, forever withheld? To see a woman as a possessor of mortality or immortality or any part of your potential through her womb by clinging to this unreal possession thought? Well, I say this is foolishness. And unfair. Unfair to any kind of potential thought and unfair to her. She is simply a being who having a womb as part of her biology exists as female and perhaps she is your friend, perhaps she is your love but she is certainly not a metaphor for heaven.
